Debrecen, Hungary (Debrecen, Ungarn) (Debrecen, Magyarország) 03.2011.

At the beginning of March, there are usually still only common spring insects that are active in lowland forests, like in the so-called Nagyerdő forest (part of the Natura 2000) at the northern edge of the city of Debrecen. Most beetles have not yet ended their winter hibernation and this makes them quite easy to find, if one knows where to look for them. The Nagyerdő has many different tree species - it is partly a park, so there are many alien trees as well. The most important tree species for the insects are the old Pendunculate Oaks that grow here in a large number. These trees support a suprising diversity of insects. Many wasps, ants, bugs and beetles require oaks: either they feed from the oaks, or they prey on the plant-eaters. Also, decaying oak wood is the sole food source for many endangered beetles. And in winter, many arthropods hybernate under the barks of old oaks. The majority of these is still inactive in March, and one can find many rare species under the pieces of bark. Some other trees like pines and sycamores host an entirely different collection of arthropods under their barks. Location: Nagyerdő, Debrecen. Date: 03.2011.

Ezek a fák meglepően nagy rovar-diverzitást tartanak fenn.

A bark beetle (Scolytinae subfamily) from an oak. It has many tiny mite deutonymphs (also called hypopi) on its forewings.
Egy szú (Scolytinae alcsalád) tölgyről. Rengeteg apró atka deutonimfa (másnéven hypopus) található a fedőszárnyán.

Bothrideres bipunctatus is quite rare. It belongs to the family Bothrideridae. It was found under the bark of Hybrid Plane.
A szívnyakú humuszbogár (Bothrideres bipunctatus) elég ritka. A Bothrideridae családba tartozik (humuszbogarak). Juharlevelű platán kérge alól került elő.

This small pseudoscorpion was also there. It belongs to the Chernetidae family.
Ez a kis álskorpió is onnan került elő. A Chernetidae családba tartozik.

A beetle from the family Trogossitidae: Grynocharis oblonga. It was inside the wood of a Scots Pine.
Egy bogár a korongbogarak (Trogossitidae) családjából: a hosszúkás korongbogár (Grynocharis oblonga). Erdeifenyő fájában volt.

Nematoceran midge pupae under a bark, probably Ceratopogonidae biting midges:
Fonalascsápú kétszárnyú bábok kéreg alatt, valószínűleg Ceratopogonidae törpeszúnyogok:

This is a very rare beetle belonging to the family Nosodendridae (wounded-tree beetles): Nosodendron fasciculare. They live in tree saps as larvae and the adults are always found nearby. This was under plane tree bark.
Ez egy nagyon ritka bogár a Nosodendridae családból (falébogarak): a Nosodendron fasciculare. A lárváik fanedvekben élnek és az imágók is mindig a közelben találhatók. Ezt platán kérge alatt találtam.

Some spiders from under tree barks: Philodromus fuscomarginatus female (Philodromidae):
Néhány pók fakéreg alól: Philodromus fuscomarginatus nőstény (Philodromidae):

This one is a crab spider female: Pistius truncatus.
Ez egy karolópók nősténye: Pistius truncatus.

This little creature is the tufted milliped (Polyxenus lagurus). They can be found in colonies under plane tree barks.
Ez a kis lény a pamatos soklábú (Polyxenus lagurus). Kolóniáira platán kérge alatt lehet bukkanni.

Ptinus sexpunctatus, an Anobiid spider beetle beetle that was in an old oak:

Uleiota planata, a flat bark beetle (Silvanidae):
Lapos kéregbogár (Uleiota planata) a kéregbogarak családjából (Silvanidae):

A smaller flower chafer, Valgus hemipterus female. It was found under the bark of an oak. It was probably not long after it has left its pupa, as these beetles overwinter as pupae.
Egy kisebb virágbogár, a Valgus hemipterus (suta virágbogár) nősténye. Tölgykéreg alatt volt. Valószínűleg nem sokkal korábban hagyhatta el a bábját, ezek a bogarak ugyanis bábként telelnek át.
